Red Balloons Ramblers 2023/24
Red Balloons Ramblers will offer the chance to build up your fitness and improve your mental health with a series of guided walks/hikes, plus fitness and mobility sessions. This year we'll also be offering Mountain Skills/Navigation Skills and Mountain First Aid Courses.
Our Peer Support Walk Leaders will be on hand to support Ramblers with their mental health.
We're hoping to start the Project in late October subject to funding, but we're organising meet-up walks for people interested in the Project. You can meet the Walk Leaders and ask any questions.

We've teamed up with Starfish in Stockton to put together a Lived Experiences Forum to help shape Adult Mental Health Services in the Borough. If you live in Stockton and have experienced Mental ill health personally or as a Carer we want to hear from you. The group will be warm, supportive and welcoming and we want to hear your story.

A big thank you to our friends at Yarm Wellness for letting us use their wonderful venue for our Women's Mental Health Drop In Sessions. We're kicking this off on Wednesday 14th April at 3.30pm and it will be fortnightly.
Come along and chat to our Peer Supporters. We all have lived experience of mental ill health and tough times and can offer a safe space where you can talk about how you feel and get support. Refreshments available.

Claire has been sharing her story publicly since 2018. Whether it is a 30 minute presentation or a 2 hour in depth talk, we can tailor make a package to suit you and your needs. From suicide to eating disorders,, from depression to how exercise helped save her life.
Claire has experience speaking in front of Primary School children, up to mature students in university, from small groups in an informal atmosphere, to large groups in an auditorium. The sessions can be interactive or simply a “story telling” exercise. It really is up to you.

A fantastic way to get a group looking at new ideas, different thought processes and learning new things, in a way that is fun and interactive. We offer a safe and non judgemental space where people can also share their thoughts and experiences.
Workshops we currently offer:
- Mental Health Myth Busting
- Exercise for Mental Health
- Self Care – A Guide to Coping Strategies and Self Management
- Introduction to Gratitude and Mindfulness
- Introduction to Work Place Peer Support
Workshops can range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, and can include time for group to come together to talk after, or for one to one questions with Claire. Minimum participants required – 4. For effective learning and safety, maximum participant number would be 30.
1 hour sessions designed to encourage people to come together and talk, in a safe, non judgemental environment.
There is no pressure to be involved, to share any information or to attend every week.
Refreshments will be served.
These sessions are FREE.
Claire is a qualified group facilitator and can also be booked to attend existing one off sessions.
